Everything You Need to Know

We’ve Got the Answers You’re Looking For

Who is Tamice?

Tamice, founded in 2013 by a team of partners with over a decade of experience in transportation and tour & travel, entered the BxSci and HSAS community during the upheaval of COVID-19 and the sudden lack of private bus services to the schools. Through robust parental support, Tamice swiftly emerged as the new transportation provider for BXSCI & HSAS.

How are bus routes created?

We create bus routes based on the applications received.  We customize all of the routes to provide a close and convenient bus stop for all families. Contracts received after our deadline will not be guaranteed a customized stop, therefore will be assigned to a stop already made for nearby residents.

How do I sign up for school bus?

Use our online application form to submit your information. All information must be accurate. At the end of the application, you can select the payment option. Once the payment has been confirmed, we will send you your copy of the contract.
You will then receive information about the bus ID.

Can I sign up for a one-way service only?

We offer round trip service only. When you signup we are reserving a seat on the bus for both morning and the afternoon.

Do you offer Sibling discounts?

Yes, we offer a 10% sibling discount for each additional child attending the school.

Do you offer an installment plan?

Yes, we offer the installment plan. The installment plan price is $4,288. Non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is needed at the time of submitting the application. You can pay eight(8) divided payments starting from May to December 2024.

What is the Cancellation Policy for the School Year?

Transportation charges are non-refundable. Once the Client signs the contract, the Company reserves a seat for one primary pick-up in the morning and one drop-off after regular dismissal (3:05 PM) for the entire year. Therefore, the cancellation will not be accepted for any reason, with the only exception being school closures due to COVID, natural disasters, or other force majeure situations (If you paid with credit card, please note 3% Processing Fee is non-refundable), in which the refund policy is as follows:

a. Full School Year Closures: Should the NYC DOE announces school closures prior to the first day of school:
i. Full credit refund for future use
ii. Full refund minus the non-refundable amount of $500.
b. Partial School Closures: First THIRTY (30) cumulative school closures will not be refunded. Pro-rated refunds begin from the 31st day of NYC DOE mandated school closure.

When do I receive my bus stop information?

To create the most favorable bus stop for you, we need to wait until all of the contracts are received. Then we will customize your stops so it's fair and favorable to everyone by your area. You can expect your bus stop information by early August.

Can I get two different pickup locations?

If your second pickup location falls within the same route as your primary address, you may take the bus at another stop. If your second pickup location is on another bus route, we can accommodate you only if there are seats available. If you wish to guarantee a seat on a different bus route, you must pay for an additional seat. Please contact our sales team to receive a quote for your second pickup location.

Are there after-school buses?

Yes, we provide after-school buses as a courtesy service. There are 3:55pm, 5:30pm and 6:05pm. Late after school buses are consolidated stops and are not the same as your regular pickups.

Who rides the school bus? Only BXSCI and HSAS students?
